Chris Liu (劉進華) — Founder & General Manager, LIHAITEC

The founder of LIHAITEC Intelligent Control has spent over thirty years in electromechanical integration and CNC control — from panel and electrical control, to secondary development of international CNC brands, to PLC and servo tuning — and went on to develop the in-house Intuitive Touch Smart control system. The founding conviction is clear: a machine is for machining parts, not for learning a programming language.

1.Over thirty years in electromechanical integration

Since 1995, the founder has worked in machine-tool control for more than three decades, with over thirty years of secondary development on international CNC brands plus PLC programming and servo tuning — the technical foundation for later developing an in-house control system.

2.World's first M700 dual-system integration (2010)

In 2010, the founder led the team in partnering with Mitsubishi Electric's Southeast-China regional distributor to complete the world's first single-controller dual-system integration on the Mitsubishi M700 at Foxconn (Hon Jun)'s three plants — Shenzhen Guanlan, Taiyuan and Zhengzhou — extending it to dual-system models from Intek and Gentec, helping accelerate mass production of the Apple iPhone 4.

3.Developing the Intuitive Touch Smart control system

Founder Chris Liu holds eight personal patents, covering the Automated Machine Tool Controller (Utility Model M670627) and the Intuitive Small Lathe (Utility Model M670628), among others. Many assume a CNC machine can do anything, overlooking that CAD/CAM is only a computer-aided drawing system — 'aided' is only aided: if the operator cannot draft or convert the code, the system cannot fill the gap. With a blueprint-style touch architecture, LIHAITEC redefined machine-tool operation: read the drawing, tap the drawing, and the system automatically generates the toolpath — no G/M code, no CAD/CAM — establishing "intuitive" as a new operating paradigm.

4.Why choose the intuitive approach

Machine-tool operation has evolved from the hand wheel, to CNC (G-code), to conversational, and on to intuitive operation. The core value of the intuitive approach is saving time and cost: in function it is equivalent to integrating CNC machining with a CAD/CAM computer-aided drawing system in a single intuitive interface — read the drawing, tap it, and the system generates and runs the toolpath directly, removing the two separate steps of writing G-code and operating drawing software. The intuitive approach is bounded by the machining functions the graphics can cover and is not a cure-all; LIHAITEC accordingly focuses on doing the most common machining exceptionally well, rather than claiming to replace every CNC.

Product philosophy

"A CNC gives you ingredients, not a finished dish — change the cook who can program, and the flavor changes. The intuitive approach does not rely on craft: read the drawing, tap a few points, and the system generates the path automatically — the same dish every time."
"This is not about replacing master machinists, but about letting their craft be digitized and passed on."

Rooted in Taiwan, reaching the world

From three decades of technical depth to LIHAITEC building control systems from a human perspective, the founder continues to advance the research and commercialization of Intuitive Touch Smart machine tools — letting traditional shops move toward automation and smart manufacturing without any programming.
